## Key Role Overview General Labor is responsible for safely handling and preparing lumber products to meet customer and company requirements. The role includes moving, stacking, labeling, bundling, and securing materials, maintaining production records and inventory, and participating in safety and continuous improvement programs. This is an entry-level, full-time manufacturing position based in Lone Butte, AZ that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. ## Key Responsibilities - Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions - Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements - Label material based on type, size, and count - Apply individual tags to material before/after treating or production - Use a staple gun and troubleshoot basic equipment issues - Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks - Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements - Ensure correct quantities and materials are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area - Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report any problems or discrepancies to supervisor - Record production on production sheets - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Assist other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts - Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI) and other programs and meetings - Perform other duties as required ## Required Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age - No minimum prior experience required (entry-level role) - Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate production and inventory records ## Preferred Qualifications - High school diploma or GED preferred but not required - Manufacturing or lumber industry experience preferred - Working knowledge of basic math preferred ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: Not specified - Key benefits may include participation in safety and continuous improvement programs, opportunities for advancement within a stable and profitable company, and a collaborative, family-oriented work culture ## Additional Information - Work arrangement: Full-time on-site position in Lone Butte, AZ - Role involves physical handling of lumber and materials and adherence to safety protocols - The company participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings - UFP Chandler, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer
