Job Skills / Requirements Job Description Alliance Security has opportunities for On Call Armed Guards/Emergency Response Officers (ERO) at a Class A property in New York City. These armed security positions are exclusively assigned to a midtown tourist attraction. We are recruiting NYPD active or retired law enforcement personnel. The selected individual will work with a team of highly accomplished professionals to ensure safety at this popular location. RESPONSIBILITIES: Deter an active shooter situation by displaying a professional, vigilant, multi-layered security presence at the location. Post inspection and remain attentive and alert to suspicious persons or activity Remain alert and watchful to prevent theft, acts of violence or damage to property Observe any person engaging in suspicious activity Engage and notify individuals who violate any site rules or regulations Immediately report any facility concerns or hazards such as fire, leaks, damage to property, criminal incidents, guests requiring medical assistance, lost children to the Security Operations Center (SOC), and notify supervisor. Secure the physical location, including all security to and from all access points QUALIFICATIONS: Previous law enforcement is required (ESU experience is a plus) Must have a valid NYS Armed Security Guard license Must possess own licensed firearm 16-hour on the job training, and have the 8-hour annual certification completed Must have a HS diploma or equivalent Must be able to stand for 8-12 consecutive hours Schedule is flexible COMPENSATION/SCHEDULE: Pay Rate: $45/hour Shift: Flexible / On Call Education Requirements (All) High School Diploma or GED Certification Requirements (All) NYS Armed Security Guard License This is a As Needed position2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekends.
