Specific Duties and Essential Functions Assess and report irregular or unusual conditions that may escalate to security concerns or safety hazards.Deter criminal activity and misconduct by informing violators of rule infractions (i.e., loitering, smoking, and/or carrying forbidden articles).Clear communication with clients, the public, and law enforcement in a polite and courteous manner.Monitor entry of authorized persons to enter a property, including entrances and exits.Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities with legible handwriting and speech.Perform unarmed and armed (depending on final assignment) security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.Assist clients, authorized employees, visitors, and appropriate law enforcement courteously and professionally.Assignment Expectations This is a As Needed position 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, School Hours, Weekends, Summer. Relocation is not required; Shifts could be irregular (i.e., 1st-3rd; swing shifts), in the event of covering for another employee absence or unforeseen loss of shift coverage.
