Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure are what set you apart. As a Residential Security Guard, you will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors while maintaining the safety and security of the property. You'll conduct patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and help ensure residents feel secure in their homes. Whether you're assisting with resident inquiries, managing building access, or addressing security concerns, you'll play a key role in protecting people, property, and the community. Hourly wage rate of $18.43/hr We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy Flexible schedules with various shifts available Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Part time / Monday - Wednesday from 3pm to 11pm Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities for Residential Security Guard Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies Monitor and control access to the property : verify visitors, contractors, and deliveries Maintain detailed visitor and parcel logs Receive parcels and ensure secure handling and notification procedures Provide excellent customer service and clear communication with residents and management Maintain a clean and professional work environment inside the security office Qualifications for Residential Security Guard Be authorized to work in Canada Excellent ccustomer service and communication skills Hold a valid BC security license First aid certification - an asset Strong report writing skills Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus Strong proficiency with technology Ability to stand and walk throughout shift This posting is for a position that is currently vacant within the organization.
