A security company in Kimberley, Northern Cape is seeking a professional Retail Security Guard to join its operational team. You will conduct patrols, monitor premises, respond to alarms and incidents, and submit detailed reports. PSIRA registration and a clean criminal record are mandatory for all security positions. Responsibilities Write detailed and accurate incident reports describing security events, observations, and actions taken for management review. Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed. Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises on foot or by vehicle, checking for security breaches, hazards, and suspicious activity. Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property. Provide excellent customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a firm and professional security presence. Requirements Good written and verbal communication skills to write reports and interact professionally with clients and the public. The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency or high-stress situations. A clear criminal record is mandatory and subject to regular review as per PSIRA requirements. Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, conduct foot patrols, and respond quickly to incidents.
