Job Overview MVP Security is seeking reliable and professional Event Security Guards for weekend shifts on an on-call, part-time basis. Responsibilities Provide a visible and professional security presence at events Qualifications: Valid Alberta Security Services License (mandatory) Reliable transportation to and from event sites Previous event security or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in busy environments Must be available on weekends and on short notice (on-call) Schedule & Compensation: Part-time, On-Call Shift duration may vary depending on event Competitive hourly wage based on experience Monitor crowd behavior and ensure compliance with event policies Conduct access control, ticket checks, and perimeter patrols Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances Work collaboratively with event staff, emergency services, and law enforcement if required Complete detailed incident reports as needed Follow client instructions and adhere to site-specific protocols Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour Benefits: Company car Company events Discounted or free food Flexible schedule Mileage reimbursement On-site parking Work Location: In person
