Job Description As a Security Officer Driver Entry Control in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven values. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $14.71 / Hour Pre-Employment Requirements (Contractual) Valid Driver's License Job Schedule DayTime Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities for a chemical and petrochemical environment. Monitor access control points by checking credentials, processing visitors and contractors, documenting entries and exits, and helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations, with awareness that working conditions may vary across the site. Prepare clear reports on daily activity, access exceptions, and incident details, and report maintenance concerns or unusual conditions that could affect security-related operations. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
