Job Overview NSD Warehouse & Distribution is looking for a dependable and hard working Forklift Operator/Yard Hand to support daily yard operations. This role is responsible for receiving and shipping materials, operating forklifts to move heavy products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all loads are handled safely efficiently, and accurately. The ideal candidate is organized, 4+ years of forklift experience, quick learning, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an industrial warehouse environment handling steel products and heavy materials. Key Responsibilities : Shipping & Receiving Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities against packing slips Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors Pick orders for outbound shipments according to customer orders Coordinate with drivers and office staff to ensure accurate and timely shipments Forklift Operation & Material Handling Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers Pull and stage materials for shipping or storage Handle heavy steel beams, plates, coils safely and efficiently Inventory & Warehouse Operations Label and identify materials, including heat numbers, sizes, grades and product tags Maintain accurate inventory locations and assist with inventory checks Keep warehouse and yard areas clean, organized, and safe Assist with general warehouse duties when shipping activity is slow Qualifications Previous shipping and receiving experience required 4+ years forklift experience required (experience with large-capacity forklifts is an asset) Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour Ability to commute/relocate: Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: Shipping & receiving: 1 year (required) Forklift: 4 years (required) Work Location: In person
