We are recruiting a Executive Housekeeper for an events venue in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will set up function rooms per client specifications, serve food and beverages at events, clear tables efficiently, and maintain venue cleanliness. The position requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Responsibilities Manage inventory and stock control for food, beverages, and consumables, conducting regular stock takes and placing orders. Manage, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen staff to deliver consistently excellent service exceeding guest expectations. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all areas including dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and external spaces. Prepare and cook food to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety, ensuring all dishes meet quality benchmarks. Prepare budgets, monitor revenue and costs, and implement measures to maximise profitability while maintaining quality. Requirements Excellent customer service orientation with ability to handle difficult situations and complaints with diplomacy and professionalism. A minimum of two to three years of experience in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel, lodge, or events venue. For bartender roles, comprehensive knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and the responsible service of alcohol. Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and health and safety regulations for the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate a diverse team and maintain morale during busy service periods. A diploma or degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or equivalent practical experience in the hospitality industry. Qualifications Wine and Beverage Service Certification
