SECURITY OFFICER PROVIDES SECURITY AND RELATED ASSIGNMENTS TO INSURE THE SAFETY OF THE MEDICAL CENTER'S PATIENTS, VISITORS AND ASSOCIATES. PREVENT DESTRUCTIVE ACTS TO T HE MEDICAL CENTER'S PROPERTY. PERFORMS RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED. Qualifications: Guards and secures designated entrances/exits to ensure those only patients, associates, and authorized visitors enter the facility Responds to emergency/unusual situations in the facility, including fires, disturbances, disruptive patients or visitors, and other occurrences when assistance is requested or needed by the staff according to Montefiore procedures & policies Checks authorizations to remove medical center property from the facility. Safeguards facility, patient, and associate property according to Montefiore procedures & policies Exercise constant vigilance in reference to patients, staff, and visitors within the facility Receives complaints and suggestions from staff and communicates these responses to supervisor Performs ancillary support functions including but not limited to morgue operation, vehicular traffic control, off-hours receipt of packages, information desk duties, and transporting people or packages between Montefiore facilities.
