Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Benoni Clinic within the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The Registered Nurse – Benoni Clinic Manager will oversee day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing care and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include managing patient flow, conducting nursing assessments, administering treatments, and coordinating with healthcare providers to support continuity of care. The role also involves supervising clinic staff, managing schedules, supporting training and development, and promoting adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards. The Clinic Manager will monitor stock levels, oversee infection prevention and control, ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies, and contribute to performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant South African nursing council and compliance with all professional practice requirements. Proven clinical experience in primary care, community health, or a similar setting, with strong patient assessment, triage, and care coordination capabilities. Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills, including staff supervision, coaching, performance feedback, and team development. Solid understanding of clinic operations, including patient scheduling, workflow optimization, stock and resource management, and basic reporting. Strong commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and quality, with knowledge of infection prevention, clinical guidelines, and ethical standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations, multidisciplinary teams, and external partners. Proficiency with basic digital tools and clinical information systems; comfort with learning new healthcare technologies and processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing demands, and maintain accuracy and professionalism under pressure. Diploma or degree in Nursing; additional training in primary healthcare, clinic management, or healthcare leadership is an advantage. Previous clinic management or senior nursing leadership experience is highly beneficial, especially in resource-conscious healthcare settings.
