Location: Howick Employment Type: Full TimeOverviewJoin the Harvard House team as a Supervisor in the Accounting and Tax Department. If you are passionate about tax and accounting and want to grow your career in a supportive and people-focused environment, this role offers the chance to make an impact while developing your technical and leadership skills.What You'll Be Responsible ForLeading, developing and mentoring staffAllocating clients, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are metMonitoring and updating internal control listsProviding hands‑on technical guidance and trainingConducting performance reviews with staffAttending to various staff and client queries, which may include researching technical topics and presenting practical solutionsManaging SARS queries, including visits to SARS when requiredBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships, including attending client meetingsOn‑boarding new clients and completing related adminReviewing:Monthly VAT submissionsAnnual Financial statements (trusts, CCs, companies and independent reviews)Individual and corporate tax returnsWorking overtime during peak periodsWhat We're Looking ForNewly qualified CA(SA), or eligible to register as a CA(SA)Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel and WordStrong digital proficiency and ability to quickly adapt to new software toolsIn‑depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulationsAbility to adapt quickly in a dynamic and constantly changing environmentStrong planning and organisational skillsFocus on accuracy and attention to detailAbility to manage pressure and meet deadlinesAnalytical thinking and strong problem‑solving skillsA people‑first approach to leadership, motivation and team cohesionConfidence in managing conflict and ability to handle difficult conversationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProfessionalismWillingness to build relationships with colleagues and clientsCommitment to continuous learning and staying current with changing legislation and standardsWhy Join Harvard HouseWork within a structured and supportive environmentBe part of a respected brandOpportunity for growthCollaborative and values‑driven workplace#J-18808-Ljbffr
