Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. Responsibilities Follow a daily cleaning schedule and checklist to ensure all assigned tasks are completed to the required standard within the allocated time. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards such as broken fixtures, leaking taps, or slippery floors to the supervisor promptly. Empty waste bins and recycling containers from all designated areas, replace bin liners, and dispose of refuse correctly. Manage and safely store all cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring hazardous substances are labelled and locked away when not in use. Sweep, mop, and polish hard floor surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment. Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture thoroughly, spot-clean stains as they occur, and arrange for periodic deep cleaning. Requirements Good communication skills to report issues to supervisors and interact politely with clients or members of the public. A clear criminal record is often required for positions at schools, healthcare facilities, or secure commercial premises. A strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and no task is overlooked or left incomplete.
