As a Construction Laborer, you will be an essential part of our project teams, contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction projects. You'll gain invaluable hands-on experience across various aspects of site preparation, material handling, and structural support. Key Responsibilities
Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as directed. Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading construction materials. Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, removing hazards, and ensuring a safe and organized working environment. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills, saws). Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level ground as required for foundations and utilities. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working order. Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and instructions from supervisors diligently.
Required Skills
Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods. Reliability and punctuality; strong work ethic and a commitment to showing up on time, ready to work. Eagerness to learn new skills and follow instructions from experienced team members. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment. Basic understanding of workplace safety principles (or willingness to learn immediately). Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Previous experience with outdoor manual labor or physical jobs. Awareness of basic construction safety practices (e.g., OSHA 10-hour card, though not required).
