We are always hiring professionals eager to exceed customer expectations. We’re hiring reliable, experienced Unarmed On-Call Retail Security Officers! The person in this position will maintain a safe and secure indoor environment for clients, customers, contractors and other workers by patrolling, tagging indicated checkpoints, monitoring premises, writing a detailed DAR entry and occasionally performing search procedures.

Responsibilities:
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs) Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Monitor for irregular or unusual activity Secure facility and designated areas Enforce facility and company policies and procedures Investigate and prepare reports on incidents Adhere to Post Orders Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent Must have a valid Maryland Security Guard License Must have one (1) year of experience as a security officer, preference to those with prior retail security experience. Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules as needed Must have reliable transportation Must have good communications skills Ability to stand or walk for long periods Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis. Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior Physical Requirements: This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:
Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift) Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds These physical requirements are essential to performing the job successfully.
