The Associate Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA) directly supports the continued growth of the Wealth Management Advisor’s (WMA) practice. Our business focuses on advanced wealth management planning with high-net-worth individuals and businesses. This role provides an opportunity to build new client relationships, as well as maintaining and strengthening existing relationships. This requires a commitment to education focused on financial planning and investment planning strategies. An AWMA has a high degree of analytical skill while being able to communicate effectively with clients regarding the topics of investments, insurance, and financial planning. Primary Duties Grow Assets Under Management (AUM) by managing current portfolios and providing detailed advice and service to existing clients while supporting the growth of our business. Assist the WMA and the team by: Overseeing the financial planning software output, PX/RD Plans Monitor and manage capital flows to and from accounts Oversee the manager selection and changes to advisory accounts Investment portfolio analysis, design, and rebalancing Oversee implementation of financial plans and portfolio management Client education, advising, and recommendations on: Holistic strategies with an emphasis on tax efficiency, risk management and sustainable lifetime income Review current plans and recommend changes and strategies when needed Final plan design and solutions for current and new clients Conduct advisory client review meetings Oversees the company’s investment strategies, constantly keeping up on the current market conditions and environments, and delivering Private Client Group offerings in private equity, real estate, hedge funds, to clients. In addition also manages the investment department and is consistently educating the team and advisors on investment products and offerings. Other duties as assigned Client Service Corresponding with clients to handle advisory-related service issues Contacting clients on behalf of the WMA with the intent of developing an advisory plan and providing technical explanations for advisory products or advisory performance to existing and new clients Discussing tax consequences, costs, and advisory fees Accepting client requests for redemptions/withdrawals and communicating instructions to team for implementation Oversee task list related to investment account follow-ups and service requirements to make sure they are completed in a timely manner Review performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar and broker dealer software, etc. prior to client reviews NetX360 – Monitor and handle Items for Attention, Outstanding debits, Run Cash flow reports Case Preparation Responding to home office account inquiries as needed Maintaining annual review notes in CRM & Envestnet software and mailing annual review letters to clients when needed Monitoring industry trends, technology, and research related to investments, risk management and planning Ensuring compliance requirements are implemented and followed Reviewing client portfolios and preparing investment recommendations Updating the PX/RD Plans and investment/advisory proposals for annual reviews Qualifications Ten or more years of professional industry experience in the financial services preferred, estate planning or tax planning fields Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or an equivalent combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience Professional certifications Series 7 and 65 or 63 Life/Health Insurance license CFA (preferred) or eagerness to obtain within an agreed upon time frame Strong client focus with excellent listening skills and attention to detail Ability to build and maintain relationships with co-workers and clients Superior analytical, organizational, communication, and research skills Takes initiative to start and follow through to complete work Honest, ethical and a strong sense of morality Business owner mindset and willingness to work interdependently within the team
