Requirements Must possess a high school or equivalent diploma or a G.E.D. certificateMust be pass drug test and be drug free and remain so for the entire life of employmentMust pass background checkMust be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide proofMust take and pass a Physical Agility Test (PAT) before beginning work (annual requirement).Must complete all required training prior to assuming duties as an employee with the submitted compliance packageMust meet all requirements of AR 190-56 that apply to Contract Security OfficersMust meet all requirements of the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (must be able to possess firearms)Understand and carry out oral and written instructionsInstruct others on necessary rules, duties, and functionsRecognize dangerous conditions about building and grounds and report/respond IAW applicable SOPsMeet and deal courteously, diligently, and effectively with the public.Have knowledge of safety precautions and of fire prevention methods.Prepare clear, concise, complete written reportsPossess a valid IN Driver’s LicenseWalk, stand, run, and climb over prolonged periods of time so that guard personnel can perform the tasks detailed in the specificationsPerform and utilize personal defense tacticsRemain alert, even tempered, and exercise good judgmentRead and understand regulations, detailed written orders, and training materials provided by the clientOperate telephone and radio communications equipmentDetermine the identity and business of visitors, tenants, and Post personnelMaintain integrity and confidentialityKeep a critical eye to safeguard persons and propertySpeak English clearly and distinctlyGive directions and instructions telephonically to the general public, members of the armed forces, visitors, and other tenantsSummon telephonically emergency fire/ambulance/medical assistance when necessaryUse client property (keys, radios, etc.) entrusted to his/her responsibilitySee with normal color vision (cannot be color blind)Complete all necessary forms provided by clientBe competent in the handling and use of firearmsMust be able to solve problems and de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational mannerMust possess the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division at a minimum Responsibilities Be familiar with site specific procedures at respective locationsReport and log all events, incidents, found articles, and hazardous conditions in writing as an official recordBe alert to any emergency and take appropriate action, i.e. call Fire Dept, Police Dept, and/or render first aid until professional help is obtainedReport potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair, including lighting, plumbing, wet floors, etc.Exercise judgement in allowing personnel access to the facilitiesAcknowledge, respond, and take appropriate actions to all alarmsProvide roving patrol, if required at site location#CIN
