Main Purpose of The Role:

The Controller will ensure the efficient and compliant management of import operations within the automotive logistics sector, overseeing documentation, customs clearance, cargo movement, and financial accuracy. The role is central to maintaining smooth end-to-end processes, while delivering reliable client support.

• Operational Oversight: Manage and monitor logistics and supply chain activities specific to the automotive market.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Freight forwarding and controlling.

Qualifications:

Matric (essential)

Advantageous to have Industry level qualification/ tertiary qualification

Computer packages

Office 365 (Teams, OneNote, Forms), MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Duties and Responsibilities:

Capturing of charges in CW1Tracking of shipmentsFollowing up and retrieving shipping documents after sailing from origin officesEngage origin offices and carriers regarding forwarding of shipmentsRegistration of shipments on CW1Following up on carrier invoices and ANF’sChecking vendor invoices and raising queries as required. Opening shipment files and documents assemblyCompleting key updates and milestones in CW1Update and maintenance of lane specific rates monthlyShipment status reporting as requiredAssisting the Client lead with Ad hoc projects and reportingProcess Ocean import quotes Meet Kpi’s
