Additional hours may be available in the following areas: Franklin Park, Des Plaines, Rosemont, North Lake, Melrose Park, Deer Field, Mt. Prospect & Downtown Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel and guests. Protect property and equipment. Support access control and screening of guests Immediately respond to emergencies and actual or perceived threats Provide necessary assistance to employees and guests. Act proactively to safeguard personnel and guests from safety hazards. Prepare highly detailed shift reports and incident reports. Remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
18+ years of age High School Diploma or GED PERC and 20-hour Basic Security Officer Training certificate Exceptional customer service Punctual Drivers License & Reliable transportation Flexible availability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Capable of following complex instructions Mandatory participation in screening process including drug test, driver’s license status, driving record check, and background investigation

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling Possessing the faculty to see, hear, speak, and write clearly Ability to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing steps and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain Ability to walk in narrow hallways and up and down staircases Capacity to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PERC and 20-hour Basic Security Officer Training certificate Prior knowledge of security operations and procedures Prior military and/or law enforcement experience Associate Degree or higher
