Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard? What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths. As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc. Schedule: Part-Time Location: L9G 3K9What's in it for you? Hourly wage of $19.50 We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy Flexible schedules with various shifts available Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Full-time & part-time opportunities Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound truck movements using paper logs and computerized systems. Monitor CCTV surveillance systems to identify vandalism, unauthorized access, or suspicious activities. Perform routine yard patrols and complete required checkpoint scans to ensure site security. Enforce PPE compliance and ensure all yard safety procedures and regulations are followed. Manage access control by verifying visitor and vehicle identification before granting entry. Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or potential security threats. Prepare detailed incident and activity reports with accurate documentation of observations. Conduct regular foot patrols to maintain the safety and security of the premises. Inspect and monitor security systems to identify vulnerabilities or equipment malfunctions. Qualifications for a Surveillance Security Guard Be authorized to work in Canada Hold a valid security license First aid certification Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus Strong proficiency with technology Use MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and other computer systems for reporting and daily operations. Maintain a professional demeanor in fast-paced environments while interacting with staff, drivers, and visitors. Apply strong communication and de-escalation skills when handling conflicts or sensitive situations. Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders during serious incidents or emergencies.
