What Customers Say
Workers appreciate the competitive pay and team dynamics, though some express concerns about the demanding nature of the work and night hours.
Expert Review
Consider this role if you thrive in dynamic environments and are looking for a consistent work schedule. The $20.00 hourly wage is competitive for entry-level security positions, especially in Austin. Keep in mind, the overnight hours from 10 PM to 6 AM can be challenging for maintaining a regular social life.
Allied Universal emphasizes a culture of teamwork and community impact, which can be rewarding for those who value these aspects. However, the role is physically demanding, requiring you to stand and walk for extended periods, often outdoors, which might not suit everyone. Additionally, while uniforms and gear are provided, the job's nature may not offer much scope for career advancement.
If you are considering this opportunity, be aware of the potential for fatigue due to overnight shifts. Daily and weekly pay options are a plus, providing flexibility in managing your finances. Overall, this position can be a good fit for those looking to start a career in security but may not cater to those seeking a long-term career path.
