Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue07:30 AM - 03:30 PMWed07:30 AM - 03:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, posted policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and reporting details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention. Monitor access points and observe resident and visitor movement in accordance with location guidelines, helping to support orderly operations and documenting security-related concerns. Complete routine logs, incident reports, and pass-down communications, and help address security-related issues involving property, equipment, and/or facility rules. Minimum Requirements: A New York State Security Guard License is required. At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. X-Ray screening experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
