We are looking for CNAs to work in both our Kansas City Hospice Facility and our NorthCare Hospice Facility. CNAs are a vital part of the care we give our patients and families during end of life. It is so personal and special. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, come be a part of our team. We have days and night shift, full and part-time schedules. The Certified Nursing Assistant reports to the Team Manager of Kansas City Hospice. This individual is responsible for the delivery of specific aspects of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Care needs and visit frequency are indicated in the Hospice Aide Plan of Care. Functions: Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal needs, to include bathing, shampooing, shaving, light meals, etc.Turns and positions the patient. Changes bed linens.Provides assistance with: ambulation, range of motion exercises, elimination needs, eating and medications that are patient administered.Gives back rubs.Maintains a clean and neat patient environment and does light housekeeping as indicated in the plan of care.Documents activities according to agency guidelines and signs Hospice Aide Care Plan.Assists with extended care for patients as needed. Assist with one-on-one at Hospice House as needed.Practices normal safety precautions with all equipment in the home.Practices universal precautions for infection control.Informs Case Manager/Team Manager of changes in patients condition.Attends conferences and inservices as requested by the Team Manager.Uses resources efficiently and prudently, i.e. medical and office supplies, cellular phones, etc.Schedules or manages his/her time effectively.Communicates with patients, families, and others with courtesy, responsiveness and cooperation.
