Job Title: Warehouse Associate / Material Handler Job Description This role supports a high-volume manufacturing facility that produces small metal parts for automotive vehicles using large stamping presses, welding stations, and production lines. As a Warehouse Associate and Material Handler, you will move materials throughout the facility, support production goals, and perform a variety of tasks based on daily needs. You will handle frequent lifting, maintain organized inventory flow, and perform quality checks to ensure accurate and efficient operations. Responsibilities Move materials throughout the facility to support stamping, welding, and production departments.Use carts or pallet jacks to transport units, parts, and totes between work areas.Lift and carry materials averaging up to 50 lbs repeatedly and handle loads of 30+ lbs throughout the shift.Move at least 1,000 totes per day while maintaining accuracy and organization.Transport parts between different totes to keep materials organized and production-ready.Perform repetitive, non-stationary tasks while remaining focused on safety and quality.Conduct quality checks on parts and materials to ensure they meet production standards.Assist with order picking, shipping and receiving, loading, unloading, and general warehouse labor as needed.Support warehouse inventory control by keeping accurate counts and maintaining organized storage areas.Follow all work instructions carefully and complete required paperwork accurately and on time.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow and resolve issues.Maintain a “no job is too small” mentality and adapt to different duties based on production goals.Work collaboratively with the team while managing your own station and tasks.Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly work area.Essential Skills Ability to stand on your feet for 8–10 hours per shift.Ability to lift 30+ lbs repeatedly and handle manual labor comfortably.Capability to lift items over your head repeatedly when required.Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a production facility or warehouse.Experience as a material handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar role.Ability to use carts or pallet jacks to transport materials safely throughout the facility.Strong reliability and punctuality, with a consistent record of showing up on time every day.Ability to interpret and understand written work instructions.Ability to complete all necessary paperwork related to the position accurately.Comfort working in a repetitive, physically demanding role while maintaining focus on quality.Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.in materials handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, loading, unloading, and palletizing.Experience performing quality checks in a warehouse or production setting.Strong communication and organizational skills to support efficient material flow.Comfort working as part of a team while managing individual responsibilities.Willingness to take on different duties depending on production goals and business needs.Interest in growing into lead or supervisory roles over time.Why Work Here? Shifts do not rotate, and both day and night shifts are available, with a differential for night shift positions. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
