Killeavy Castle Estate is seeking a Bar Tender for this award winning 4-start hotel. Experienced and motivated Bar Tender to join our team. In your role of Bar Tender, you will be responsible for operating the beverage function and operation function within the Hotel working with the Bar Manager to ensure the constant delivery of the core mission and values of Killeavy Castle Estate. Role Objective; Working as part of the operational team, the Bar Tender will provide beverage service to all departments within the Estate. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year’s bar service experience. You will possess excellent interpersonal, communication skills and will enjoy building good relationships. Key Duties include; · Maintaining effective bar service with an emphasis on high quality, efficient service. · Ensure payments are dealt with in line with the Company’s cash handling procedures · To ensure the bars are fully stocked with all drink products / glassware / ice / mis en place in advance of shift and during shift. · Assist floor staff with the clearing of tables in a timely fashion during service · Washing, drying and polishing of glassware during and after service · Ensure wastage with bar products is minimised and recorded as per company stock control procedures · Adhere to “first in first out” stock rotation system · Attend and assist any guest with queries regarding facilities · Carry out cleaning duties of bar area in line with opening / closing bar procedures · Handle any guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner ensuring guest satisfaction at all times and to ensure manager is made aware of complaints · Wear clean suitable uniform & name badge at all times and ensure a high level of personal hygiene and grooming · Monitoring brand service standards, implementation, training of these and continuous evaluation · Compliance with licensing regulations and hotel procedures relating to the bar and service of alcoholic beverages · Demonstrate a perfect knowledge of all beverages served in the bar, how beverages are prepared and presented · Present a cohesive image and adhere to the correct standards of appearance · Maximise revenue and increase average spend per person through upselling, high customer service standards · Other duties as requested by management. Key Skills and Experience include; · One year’s bar service experience · Self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise work. · Ability to work on own initiative. · Have the ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
