About the position Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Manager of Warehouse Night Operations. The responsibility is to plan, direct, and administer all warehouse operations. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities Overseeing the storage, pallet operation, receiving, cross-dock, shipping, and all other general operations of the warehouse while providing timely output of all merchandiseMaintaining proper staffing levels to achieve 100% asset integrity on all shipmentsAddressing all product related issues impeding operationsMonitoring safety & loss prevention practices, ensuring policies adherenceReviewing equipment needs to enhance productivity, while evaluating cost effectivenessReviewing changes in distribution philosophies to increase operational efficiencies and striving for continuous improvement, while planning strategically for the future of the businessOther duties as assignedRequirements High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma2 years of experience in a distribution environmentProficient in fundamentals of distribution managementExcellent communication skillsBilingual (fluent in English & Spanish)Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong warehousing, distribution and transportation knowledge is necessary
