Introduction An Agritalent client, a leading agribusiness, seeks a Management Accountant to be responsible for the preparing of accurate financial reports, developing budgets and forecasts, analysing cost structures, and supporting cross-border operations. The successful candidate will provide actionable insights to senior leadership, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to long-term financial planning. Duties & Responsibilities Ability to work across multiple operations and cross countries to support business objectives Responsible for preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, while leading the financial close process to ensure data integrity and compliance with accounting standards Conducting detailed variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies, as well as collaborating with accounting to resolve issues and prepare necessary closing entries and adjustments Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring they align with business goals Develop financial forecasts and projections by analysing historical data, market trends, and operational insights, and contribute to long-term financial planning and strategic scenario modelling Analysing cost structures to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency Monitor key cost-related performance indicators, implement cost control measures, and evaluate their effectiveness to support the company’s financial health Compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, assist in the development of internal controls, and identify financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies to protect the organisation’s assets and reputation Compile comprehensive management reports that include financial statements, performance metrics, and variance narratives Maintaining and improving reporting templates to enhance clarity and support data-driven decision-making at the leadership level Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, translating financial data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for senior management Provide a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function and contribute proactively to the company’s strategic direction Desired Experience & Qualification Matric / Grade 12 Bachelor’s degree in Management Accounting, Finance, or related field CIMA, CA(SA), or similar professional certification (advantageous) Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in management accounting with extensive knowledge of management accounting principles and practices Proficient in SAP, Oracle, AS400 (or any accounting software) and excellent skills in Excel Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (including neighbouring countries) Valid Passport Based in or willing to relocate to Nelspruit Bilingual in English and Afrikaans (advantageous)
