NOW HIRING: COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLANNER (Full-Time) 36 hrs/wk, Mon–Thurs Based at ASCOG Duncan with regional travel Starting $16.75/hr About the Role: The Planner works with local governments and community partners to support projects, secure funding, and strengthen economic and community development efforts across the region. Key Responsibilities: Assist cities and counties with grant administration and project development Research funding opportunities and support projects through completion Prepare reports and ensure timely submission to funding agencies Conduct research and analysis on community and economic development needs Coordinate with local officials, agencies, and stakeholders Represent ASCOG at meetings and community events as needed Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in local government or community/economic development Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects Clerical skills Benefits: ASCOG pays 100% of employee health & dental premiums, and 50% of family premiums OPERS retirement – employee pays 3.5%, ASCOG contributes 16.5% Paid time off and mileage reimbursement 3-day weekends (office open Mon–Thurs, 7:30 am–5:30 pm) Pay: From $16.75 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
