We have an opening for a Events Coordinator at a conference and events venue in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will coordinate all aspects of events from initial enquiry to final billing, including venue setup, catering, audio-visual equipment, and accommodation bookings. The role requires outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. Responsibilities Monitor and maintain equipment and vehicles used for tours and activities, ensuring they are clean, serviced, and roadworthy. Process travel bookings including flights, hotels, car hire, and tours using booking systems and supplier websites. Prepare detailed travel itineraries, invoices, travel vouchers, and pre-departure information packs for clients. Conduct game drives and nature walks, interpreting wildlife behaviour, ecology, and conservation issues for guests. Coordinate event logistics including venue setup, catering, entertainment, and audio-visual requirements to meet client specifications. Manage reservations for accommodation, tours, and activities, optimising occupancy and revenue through yield management. Advise clients on travel options including destinations, accommodation, transport, and activities based on their preferences and budget. Requirements A valid driver's licence with a professional driving permit is required for most tour guiding positions. Flexibility to work irregular hours including weekends, public holidays, and evenings as tourism is a 24/7 industry. For tour guide and game ranger roles, a valid FGASA or DEAT-registered guide qualification with first aid certification. Outstanding customer service orientation with the ability to create memorable experiences for diverse international guests. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is highly advantageous.
