Construction / General Labor position with paid training in commercial door installation. 4-Day Workweek | Spanish-Speaking Preferred | $17–$22/hr Family-Owned Company – Learn a Skilled Trade the Right Way We’re a small, growing commercial door company based in Washington, NJ, looking for a reliable, hands-on apprentice to work directly with our lead technicians on installations and repairs. This is an entry-level position — we will train you — but you must be comfortable using basic tools and working with your hands. Who This Role Is For This position is ideal for someone who: Shows up on time, every day Takes direction well and works carefully, not rushed Has basic tool experience (drill, bits, hand tools) Wants to learn a trade and grow long-term Is bilingual (Spanish/English preferred) to support our team and clients Schedule Monday–Thursday (4-day workweek) 35–45 hours/week Occasional overtime when projects require Fridays typically off Responsibilities Assist with installation and repair of commercial, overhead, and automatic doors Safely handle and move large/heavy materials Support hardware installation (tracks, seals, operators, etc.) Maintain tools, vehicles, and job sites in clean, organized condition Follow all safety procedures and job site expectations Learn to assist with diagnostics and low-voltage systems over time Requirements Basic experience using a drill and hand tools (required) Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Able to lift heavy materials and work on ladders Comfortable working indoors and outdoors Valid driver’s license Preferred (Not Required) Spanish-speaking or bilingual Construction, automotive, or mechanical background Experience with lifts, trailers, or warehouse work Important Expectations Reliability and punctuality are critical — our team depends on each other Work must be done carefully and correctly, not rushed Respect for tools, materials, and customer property is required at all times Growth & Training Opportunities We invest in our team.
