Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and certified Crown Reach Forklift Operator to on behalf of our client in Cambridge. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Crown brand reach truck to efficiently handle inventory movement within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure accurate order picking, inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent spatial awareness, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Duties Safely operate a certified Crown reach forklift to move, stack, and retrieve goods within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Perform order picking activities accurately using the forklift, supporting timely shipment of customer orders. Handle heavy lifting tasks with proper technique to prevent injury and maintain operational efficiency Conduct routine inspections of the forklift before each shift, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Assist in maintaining organized storage areas by stacking products securely and optimizing space utilization. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and achieve daily operational goals. Requirements Valid certification as a Crown Reach Forklift Operator with proven experience operating Crown brand equipment. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting. Prior experience in warehouse distribution environments, including order picking and inventory management. Rf scanner Ability to perform basic math accurately for counting, measurements, and data entry tasks. Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or operating machinery. Strong attention to safety procedures, with a focus on accident prevention and hazard awareness. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
