The Front Office Medical Receptionist is responsible for the reception area of the office. The Receptionist greets patients/guests, answers phone calls, and assists patients/guests with questions regarding treatments, services, and products. In addition, the Receptionist books appointments, checks patients/guests into the computer system, and charges for services performed. This position requires previous medical office reception experience and insurance management experience. Full Job Description · Accurately book, change, and cancel appointments and work with various patient insurances. · Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves the office. · Provide detailed descriptions of treatments, packages, services, facility features, and hours of operation. · Utilize office computers with skill and proficiency. · Maintain an office Desk Bank. · Answer the phone promptly and use the guest's name throughout the phone conversation. · Actively promote the business including treatments, services, sessions, programs, retail products, and promotions and/or discounts available. · Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests. · Handle patients’/guests' questions and concerns professionally, courteously, and confidentially following HIPAA guidelines. · Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses and follow-up to all requests by patients/guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction. · Maintain a clean, safe, fully-stocked, and well-organized work area. · Develop the ability to work without constant, direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time. · Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment. · Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the office. Assist in all areas of the operation as requested by management. · Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or patients/guests in the office that require attention. Position Requirements · High school education or equivalent (Required) · Must be detail-oriented and must have the ability to multi-task. · Must have the ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment. · Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills. · Must possess basic math and money handling skills. · Must enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality. · Must have excellent communication, listening, and computer skills. · Must be a team player.
