​This is a chance to build the developer platform behind complex financial infrastructure operating at global scale. You’ll join a growing engineering team building a Financial Cloud platform used to manage 50–100 independently versioned modules across dozens of highly regulated environments. The challenge is far bigger than standard CI/CD. You’ll be working on the systems that determine how software is built, tested, secured, released and deployed across a large distributed platform. If you enjoy building developer tooling from the ground up, rather than simply configuring existing platforms, this is the kind of role where you’ll have real ownership. ​ The role You’ll own core parts of the developer platform, from hermetic build pipelines and software supply-chain security through to dependency tracking, change impact analysis and GitOps-driven deployments. A big part of the role will be making complex releases safer and faster. You’ll build systems that can understand which modules, sites and tests are affected by a change, then automate how those changes are validated and promoted through staging, canary and production environments. You’ll also work deeply with Kubernetes, build systems and deployment controllers, helping create reliable engineering patterns for independently versioned services operating across multiple compliance environments. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take platform components from architecture and implementation through to production operation and continuous improvement. ​ What we're looking for 6+ years' experience across platform, backend, infrastructure or developer tooling engineering. Strong Go or Java / Kotlin skills, alongside solid Python scripting experience. Deep experience building production CI/CD systems using tools such as GitHub Actions, Tekton, Jenkins or custom orchestration. Strong Kubernetes knowledge, including operators, controllers, CRDs and Helm. Hands-on experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD, Flux or Kustomize. Experience with Bazel or Gradle, including reproducible builds, remote caching or build graph optimisation. Strong understanding of software supply-chain security, build provenance and dependency management. Comfortable working across the full platform stack, from source commits and build systems through to deployment and production monitoring. ​ Experience building developer platforms within fintech or another highly regulated environment would be a big plus. Exposure to dependency analysis, graph databases such as Neo4j or Dgraph, or technologies such as Sigstore, in-toto and SBOM generation would also be useful. AWS or GCP platform experience is also welcome, particularly around services such as CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry or Cloud Deploy.
