Job Description The Budget Section Head is responsible for managing and directing all activities related to the hospital’s budgeting processes. This includes overseeing the planning, preparation, coordination, and consolidation of the hospital’s annual budget. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise the overall functions and operations of the Budget Section. Lead the development and execution of the hospital’s annual budget planning process. Oversee the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of budget programs across all directorates, departments, and units. Consolidate and analyze annual budget forecasts and projections. Review financial objectives, strategies, and action plans, and recommend them for approval. Ensure expenditures are aligned with the approved budget and certify compliance with the program of expenditures. Prepare and review financial reports to provide top management with accurate insights into the hospital’s financial position. Conduct variance analysis and coordinate with units to evaluate performance against targets. Collaborate with the MIS unit to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Implement approved quality improvement initiatives within the section. Participate in directorate-wide programs, activities, and organizational initiatives. Support hospital efforts in maintaining patient safety standards. Ensure confidentiality of records and compliance with data privacy laws and hospital policies. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Finance Director. Candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant with atleast 5 years experience as Budget Officer.
