This role plays a key part in risk management, emergency preparedness, and the continuous improvement of safety and protection standards across the organization. Job Title: Safety and Security Officer Job Summary: The Safety and Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, visitors, and company assets. This role monitors premises, enforces security policies, prevents unauthorized access, and responds promptly to incidents or emergencies to ensure overall workplace safety and protection. Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor workplace safety and security policies, procedures, and standards Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify hazards, risks, and security vulnerabilities Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company guidelines Develop and implement safety programs, drills, and emergency response plans Investigate accidents, incidents, and security breaches and prepare detailed reports Recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce risks and losses Oversee security operations including guards, CCTV systems, alarms, and access control Monitor visitor management and ensure proper access procedures are followed Coordinate with local authorities, emergency responders, and service providers when necessary Conduct safety orientations and training for employees Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and safety compliance Ensure availability and proper maintenance of safety equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.) Support business continuity and disaster preparedness initiatives Assist management in enforcing company rules related to safety and asset protection Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any related field (Engineering, Criminology, Occupational Safety, or equivalent preferred) With relevant certifications or training in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH/BOSH/COSH) is an advantage At least 3 years of experience in safety, security, or facility operations Knowledgeable in workplace safety standards, emergency response, and risk assessment Familiar with CCTV systems, access control, and security protocols Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Good documentation and report-writing skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to conduct inspections and patrols Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends or holidays when required Proposed Compensation and Benefits: Benefits include: Government Mandated Benefits, VL/SL, Health Insurance, Employee Purchase Program, Employee Assistance Program Remote Work platforms: Basic Apple suite of applications: Keynote, Pages, Numbers etc. MS Office Asana Zoho / iPage Zoom Sprout HRIS EOS Business framework is also implemented to manage things remotely Others: Reports to: HRAD Head Working Hours: Monday to Friday; Saturdays on-call Office Tools/Equipment Provided: Company laptop and mobile phone
