Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our dynamic team in Centro, Taranto. This pivotal role is specifically for individuals fluent in English, as you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, personnel, and international visitors. As a Security Officer, you will be the first point of contact for many, requiring not only a keen eye for detail and adherence to security protocols but also exceptional communication skills. Your day-to-day will involve patrolling designated areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry. You will be instrumental in preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers. Responding to alarms, investigating disturbances, and contacting appropriate emergency services when necessary will also be key aspects of your role. Given the international nature of some of our operations and clientele in Taranto, the ability to clearly and effectively communicate in English is non-negotiable. This ensures that all individuals, regardless of their native language, feel safe, understood, and can easily follow instructions during emergencies or routine interactions. You will be expected to write detailed reports in English regarding daily activities and disturbances. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to act calmly and decisively under pressure. Key Responsibilities Patrol premises regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates. Monitor and operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to detect and deter suspicious activities. Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, contacting law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Enforce property rules and regulations, politely informing and directing visitors and personnel. Maintain clear and concise communication with colleagues, management, and international visitors, primarily in English. Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs in English. Perform access control duties, verifying identification and authorizing entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
