Security Guard Employment Type: Temporary Status: Non-Exempt Grade Level: Hourly Pay: $18/hour Reports To: Supervisor Schedule: Must be able to work weekends and holidays; weekday hours also available Hours: 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring and summer Position Summary: Security Guards ensure that our guests enjoy a safe experience at Wildlife Conservation Society parks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Presenting professionalism in uniform while assisting guests that are seeking information, medical assistance or other aid and in a courteous manner. Communicating clearly using a portable radio. Following instructions and orders from Security Management and other competent authority. Completing the Security Officer's Daily Activity Report. Will be required to remain at fixed post, a roving post covering a designated area, and entrance/exit gates, as needed. Monitoring building conditions for overcrowding, disorderly persons, and prohibited items inside exhibits. Completing other assignments as required and helping others on the team
