Behavioral Health Professional Reports to: Clinical Director FLSA Status: Exempt JOB SUMMARY Optima Healing and Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Professional responsible for providing high-quality, client-centered therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families in an outpatient setting. This position involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, and documenting all clinical services provided. The Behavioral Health Professional will work collaboratively with the Clinical Director and other members of the clinical team to ensure the highest standard of care. Additionally, the Counselor will contribute to the development and improvement of clinical programming and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation requirements. Position is contract with flexible hours and the opportunity to expand to full-time. We are able to provide supervision for LMSWs, LCPCs, and CPC Interns. Ability to travel up to 45 minutes for off-site programs periodically required. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Clinical ServicesProvide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.Regularly evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.Address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders with appropriate interventions.Collaboration and ConsultationCollaborate with the Clinical Director and other clinicians to ensure the integration of care.Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss cases and treatment strategies.Serve as a clinical resource for staff, providing consultation on challenging cases and assisting with case conceptualization.Engage in case consultations and treatment team meetings to ensure the provision of high-quality care.Program DevelopmentContribute to the development of group curricula and other therapeutic programming to meet client needs.Stay current on the latest treatment modalities and incorporate them into therapy sessions as appropriate.Collaborate with clinical leadership in refining and expanding therapeutic services, including group facilitation and documentation practices.Compliance and Quality ImprovementEnsure all therapeutic services are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational standards.Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care.Assist in preparing for regulatory and accrediting body reviews as needed.Professional DevelopmentEngage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field.Participate in regular clinical supervision and coaching sessions to enhance therapeutic skills.Maintain all required licensure and certifications and participate in continuing education as required by state regulations and organizational policy.QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree or current enrollment in a master’s program in counseling, social work, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.Licensed as a mental health professional in NevadaPreferred experience working with individuals facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges.Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and ability to meet documentation standards.Knowledge and application of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.Strong interpersonal skills, with a client-centered, compassionate approach to care.Organizational and time-management skills to handle diverse caseloads and meet deadlines.COMPETENCIES Clinical expertise: Strong knowledge of therapeutic practices, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and providing constructive feedback.Empathy: Ability to demonstrate compassion and understanding of clients’ challenges and needs.Problem-solving: Capable of developing and implementing creative solutions to address client and clinical challenges.Collaboration: Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.Cultural Competency: Awareness and sensitivity to working with diverse populations and adapting approaches accordingly.PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to perform the physical tasks typical of a therapy position, such as sitting for extended periods, using a computer, and interacting with clients.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.BENEFITS Information regarding medical insurance, paid time off (PTO), and other benefits will be provided upon employment.COMPENSATION Compensation range is $70,000.00 to $110,000.00 depending on level of licensure and experience.ABOUT OPTIMA HEALING AND RECOVERY Optima Healing and Recovery is a Henderson-based outpatient treatment center.
