Description: The Security Guard ensures the safety and security of people, property, and assets by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance systems, and enforcing safety protocols. This role involves responding to incidents, controlling access, and maintaining a secure environment in a professional and vigilant manner. Schedule: Full-Time, Weekends; Weekdays, Night shifts, 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM Responsibilities and Duties Patrol assigned areas to monitor for safety hazards, unauthorized access, or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents and follow established protocols. Enforce facility rules and security policies while maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor. Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect and report irregularities. Control access to buildings by verifying identification and logging visitors. Document incidents, complete reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors. Assist in emergency situations, including medical events, evacuations, or disturbances. Perform routine checks of doors, windows, and security equipment to ensure proper function. All other duties as assigned. Requirements: Job Qualifications: No previous experience required but preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; security training or certification preferred. Valid state-issued security guard license (if required by location). Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military is a plus. Strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to remain alert and respond calmly during emergencies. Proficiency in writing reports and using security equipment (radios, cameras, access systems). Physical ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, including night shifts or adverse weather. Capability to respond quickly to incidents, which may involve running, lifting, or restraining individuals if necessary. Sufficient vision and hearing to monitor surroundings, operate surveillance equipment, and detect hazards. Manual dexterity to use radios, cameras, locks, and other security devices. Ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, temperature extremes) and remain alert during long shifts. Tolerance for prolonged periods of sitting or standing while monitoring entry points or surveillance systems.
